Dirt Heavy began as those two guys who landscape your East Nashville lawns. One sweaty summer day, song-and-dance men Matt Haeck and CT Stephenson emerged from the mulch accompanied by dulcet tones that were harbingers of their six-piece garage-icana sound. That sound is rounded out with The Reverend Vince Wynne on bass, New Yorker Sean Healy on pedal steel, and The Lonely H’s Eric Whitman and Ben Eyestone on keys and drums respectively. Perhaps equal—or unequal—parts Stones, Whiskeytown, and Nirvana, Dirt Heavy is what it is. 

We are proud to announce this new East Nashville band will be playing fEASTival 2012.  If you’d like to get a first glimpse come out to 5 Spot this Friday night.  They will be playing with a great lineup you can check out at the facebook invite below.  Come, drink, dance…. get dirty.
